Stamped in wood on side of case: ‘N. E. R. ELECTRICAL. DEPT. / ORCHARD ST. / NEWCASTLE’. Embossed on the metal lid on the top of the case: ‘EVERSHED’S TESTING SET / MEGGER / REGISTERED TRADE MARK’. Metal plaque on top of the case: ‘EVERSHED & VIGNOLES LTD / LONDON / NUMBER 30442 / VOLTS 500 / MEGOHMS 100 / EVERSHED’S PATENT’.
