Manuscript letter, dated [location unreadable] 4 Feb 1813, sent by Lt William Henry Hare, 51st (2nd Yorkshire, West Riding) Regiment of Foot (Light Infantry) to his sweetheart, Mary Winser. 4 pages. The letter is mostly personal in content but Hare mentions arrangements for officers’ peacetime leave. Note: bidirectional text and therefore difficult to read.
