Gorget, 1st (or Royal) Regiment of Foot, worn by Lt Neil Falk (also spelled Falck), 1802-1812.
Lt Falk was killed in action in 1812.
Gilt copper. Within a raised rim, an engraved design of the royal cypher ‘GR’, the ends of the letters extended to form foliate sprays. Above the cypher, a monarchial crown. Mounted upon each of the arms, a frosted circlet below a monarchial crown, above a frosted scroll and enclosing a pierced thistle. Remains of a blue silk rosette and ribbon attached through the hole in the dexter arm.
