Description
Letter to father, attack by Major Goudie on Nundridoor Fort, involving companies of 36th and 71st, Gen.Meadows. Colonel Stuart in action against Saverndrogg with 71st and 76th, 25th Dec 1791. Colonel Nesbit (52nd) commanded storming party (?); trying to buy a majority for £2,000. From papers of Lt Gen James Robertson, 73rd (and later 71st) Regiment of Foot, 1791-1806. Associated with the 3rd Mysore War (1789-1792).
