Description
Waist belt clasp, 3rd Bn 1st Bengal European Regiment, 1786-1798 Gilt waist belt clasp with flaming grenade to centre surmounted by a half laurel wreath with scrolls bearing battle honours; ‘BUXAR, PLASSEY, GHUNZEE, FEROZESHAH, SOBRAON, AFFGHANISTAN, BHUTPORE, GUZARAT, DEIG’ and a white metal strap reading ‘BENGAL EUROPEAN’ surmounted by an Imperial crown with scroll within reading ‘REGIMENT’ and figure one to centre, superimposed on the ball of the grenade.
