Description
Ms letter from Eliza Cockburn to George Cockburn. Dublin February 24th 1812. Details of Col Buthers (?) keeping the Boys until the Scarlet Fever has spread, Eliza is very concerned at how infectious it is. One child from a family they know has died from it. She is angry that the boys are being kept in Cambridge and thinks George should have brought their son Phin home immediately to avoid the fever. (It looks like a closing page is missing as there is no sign off.)
