Description
Letter from 23207 L/Cpl Frank Bentley, 2nd Bn Grenadier Guards, to his brother Cpl Arthur Bentley, Royal Army Medical Corps; Frank is with No 7 Entrenching Battalion, British Expeditionary Force, France, 25 Jan 1916; he tells Frank that he is not allowed, under censorship regulations, to divulge his exact whereabouts; Frank Bentley was killed in action at Gauche Wood, near Gouzeaucourt, 1 Dec 1917; his name appears on the Cambrai Memorial, Louveral.
