Copy photograph of HRH The Princess Elizabeth, Colonel of the Grenadier Guards, walking through a barracks, possibly the Guards Depot, Caterham, during a visit, 1947 (c). As you look at the image, Col R B R Colvin stands to the right of the Princess with Lt Col G A I Dury to the left. One of the Princess’s Ladies-in-Waiting, Lady Vicary Gibbs, can also be seen walking behind and talking to Major Patrick Robertson. A large brick building and trees are behind them. From an album of 29 photographs compiled by or presented to Sgt J Biggenden. It covers the period 1927-1951 and includes mainly group images taken at the Guards Depot in Caterham, plus some inspections such as by HM The Queen at Windsor Castle.
