Description
Manuscript letter to Brig Gen Thomas Baker from Lt Col F Brownlow, asking how many horsemen he was in need of, in the light of the large number of volunteers he had from his regiment (72 Highlanders), 13 Feb 1880. From a collection of letters and papers received by Brig Gen Sir Thomas Durand Baker, July 1879 - October 1880. He was Director of Transport during the Kabul-Kandahar, March 1880. Associated with the 2nd Afghan War (1878-1880).
