Manuscript letter and ‘Statement showing the number of Dacoities perpetrated during the 1st six months of 1854’, with brief description of each incident; Edwards was at this time Assistant Superintendent of the Suppression of Thugee and Dacoity; from papers relating to the Edwards and Morton families, particularly Colonel George Rowland Edwards (1810-1894), 2nd Madras Light Cavalry, and Lt Col Edward Ross Morton, (1855-1913).
