Copy photograph of an oil painting by Sir John Everett Millais entitled ‘The Order of Release’, 1746. On the reverse of the album page are two newspaper cuttings ‘Notes from Banchory’, 19 Oct 1858; associated with Capt G George, Lt Ewing and Ens J H Thompson and ‘Highland Games on the Links’, Aberdeen, Oct 1858. From a photograph album of ninety eight photographs relating to the 78th (Highland) Regiment of Foot (Ross-shire Buffs). Associated with 9th Bde Royal Artillery, 72nd (Duke of Albany's Own Highlanders) Regiment of Foot. Showing portraits and a parade, possibly in Gibraltar, views of Scotland, a monument and the 72nd (Duke of Albany's Own Highlanders) Regiment of Foot possibly that relating to the Indian Mutiny on Castle Hill, Edinburgh, 1862 (c). Associated with Indian Mutiny (1857-1859).
