They stand in front of a building wearing various fancy dress. They are named as (from left to right): (?) H Abbott (possibly Capt Henry Byam Abbott, Bombay Staff Corps); Miss Hay; Captain William Drury Shaw (Royal Scots); Mrs Shaw; Mrs Stevens (possibly Eliza, the wife of Maj William Ogilvie Stevens). From a collection of 36 photographs associated with the Stevens family: Lt Col Stephen James Stevens and his sons and grandsons, 1870-1915 (c). Most served in Indian Cavalry regiments, plus also the Royal Artillery and the South Wales Borderers. Images include portraits and group images taken in India, at Sandhurst Royal Military College and the School of Musketry in Hythe.
