Letter of James Stansfield, writing from Edinburgh, to Sir Thomas Morgan at the King’s Head Inn, Charing Cross, Westminster, 23 Jul 1663; Stansfield describes the last words and death of the Covenanter Lord Warlston ‘upon a gallows 22 foot high’.
