Letter to William Warre from George Smith, Port Louis, Mauritius, 6 Aug 1818. States he had received Warre’s spices and mustard and that he was “looking out for superlative coffee” to send him. One of 101 papers in the collection relating to William Warre’s period as Deputy Quarter Master General, Cape of Good Hope, 1814-1819. From a collection of 566 papers of Lt Gen Sir William Warre (1784-1853) relating to his military career, 1807-1851.
