Description
Letter to William Warre from Capt James Robinson, Beresford’s Assistant Military Secretary, Lisbon, 21 Mar 1813. Received after Warre’s return home prior to leaving for the Cape. Explains why he had managed to get only £120 for Warre’s horse. From a collection of 566 papers of Lt Gen Sir William Warre (1784-1853) relating to his military career, 1807-1851. Associated with Peninsular War (1808-1814).
