Description
Manuscript letter from Richard de Rupe Roche to his aunt Mrs Jeaffreson, written at Maitland Camp, near Cape Town, 3 Sep 1900. He and the other invalids were taken by Red Cross wagons to Green Point Hospital on the outskirts of Cape Town where he was eventually discharged. He doesn't think he will get back to the 50th Imperial Yeomanry though. From a collection of papers associated with Tpr Richard de Rupe Roche, 50th Imperial Yeomanry, Boer War (1899-1902).
