Manuscript letter from Sir William Lee, Baronet, and his wife Elizabeth to their son William Lee, later Lieutenant Colonel, in Strasbourg, 29 Oct 1786. The letter discusses his learning of French and about the travels of his brother George. From a collection of 112 letters and envelopes addressed to Lt Col William Lee, 5th Baronet, 16th (or The Queen’s) Regiment of (Light) Dragoons, 1749-1810. Also includes photocopies of other letters from the same correspondence.
