One of 44 letters and documents written by Maj Percy Wilfred Machell, serving at Wady Halfa with the 13th Sudanese Battalion. During leave at Cairo he was sent back to the Sudan and captured Khor Moussa Fort in September 1888. \From a collection of 500 letters written by Lt Col Percy Wilfred Machell, CMG DSO, Essex Regiment and Sudanese Army, 1882-1896.
