Description
Letter from 23207 L/Cpl Frank Bentley, 2nd Bn Grenadier Guards, to his brother Cpl Arthur Bentley, Royal Army Medical Corps; written with the British Expeditionary Force in France, 26 May 1916; Frank says that his last spell in the trenches was quiet and he are enjoying a few days rest; Frank Bentley was killed in action at Gauche Wood, near Gouzeaucourt, 1 Dec 1917; his name appears on the Cambrai Memorial, Louveral.
