Photograph of five men and posing for the image in front of the wall of a house, 1949-51 (c). One of the men appears to be Libyan, the other four are probably Grenadier Guards soldiers. The image was probably taken in Libya - Dennis Brotherton was stationed in Libya with the 1st Battalion. The caption says: ‘At the GOC’s Residence - the General Officer Commanding at the time was Maj Gen Sir John Nelson.

From a photograph album of 91 photographs relating to Guardsman Dennis Richard M Brotherton, Grenadier Guards, 1949-52; mainly of his time in Libya, but also some images taken in Malta and the UK.
