Vest, officers’, 10th (The Prince of Wales's Own) Royal Regiment of Light Dragoons (Hussars), worn by Lt Col John Wilkie, 1854 (c).
Associated with the Crimean War (1854-1856).
Scarlet cloth fronts and collar with fine scarlet woollen cloth back, edges trimmed with gold vandyke pattern lace.

The officer’s vest is also decorated in the distinctive hussar fashion, with the same pattern lace and braid as the jacket and fastened with sixteen gilded brass, plain ball buttons. The lining is of a drab fine woollen fabric.
