Manuscript letter from Gregory Brown at Weston to Lt Col William Lee at Bloomsbury Square, London, 23 May 1769. The letter informs him that his family will be unable to pay their rents due to the bad weather, which has ruined their fields and their cattle. From a collection of 112 letters and envelopes addressed to Lt Col William Lee, 5th Baronet, 16th (or The Queen’s) Regiment of (Light) Dragoons, 1749-1810. Also includes photocopies of other letters from the same correspondence.
