Officer's cap badge, gilt metal, nd. Cast. A palm tree upon a ground above a frosted scroll bearing the burnished letters, 'R.W.A.F.F.' The reverse bears a vertical slider fitting and the raised maker's name, 'WM Dowler & Sons Ltd/ Birmingham'. The reverse also bears a vertical copper rod reinforcing the trunk of the tree.
