Letter to Pte John Henry Simpson, 1st Bn Duke of Cambridge’s Own (Middlesex Regiment), from Charles Bosanquet in Blackheath, nd.
The letter probably dates from 1915-1916 (c). 
Mr and Mrs Bosanquet are pleased that Pte Simpson is coming to see them. They have recently met Pte Hughes and Capt Swainson and learnt more about their son’s death. 
Pte Simpson and Pte. Hughes had carried 2/Lt Sidney Courthope Bosanquet to safety but he died of his wounds in December 1914.
