Manuscript copy of a letter, dated 8 Nov 1854. Written by Sgt Charles Douglas, 1st Bn The Rifle Brigade to his parents from the camp before Sevastopol. In it he describes the action at the Rifle Pits and the rescue of the 50th Regiment, and the prevailing conditions of the siege. Associated with the Battle of Inkerman, Crimean War (1854-1856) 1854.
