Manuscript letter by Saddler Frederick Beesley, Rhodesian Field Force Artillery to his brother, dated 1 Sep 1900. In the letter he describes the effect of a severe thunder storm on the camp and the sorry state of Lord Methuen’s troops as they entered Mafeking.
