Cocked hat, lieutenant, City of London Lieutenancy, worn by J W Bisop, 1875 (c). Black beaver silk plush with black corded textile cockade. Two silver bullion loops, the inner one twisted around a tightly woven gilt button. Black silk ribbon embroidered with oak leaves and acorns. Gold bullion tassels at each end. Buff leather sweatband and crimson or satin lining.
