Serving dish associated with 27th Madras Native Infantry, 1840 (c)-1845 (c). Earthenware stand made by Chamberlain and Company, Worcester, 1840 (c)-1845 (c). White oval dish with regimental device in the centre of numerals, ‘XXVII’ with a crowned garter, and the honour, ‘MAHIDPOOR’. Oval dish with a wavy edge, rim decorated with red, brown and blue foliage design, small chip to outer edge.
