Letter to Eddie Black from his brother Sgt Robert Black, 10th Bn Black Watch (Royal Highlanders), Salonika, 19 Mar 1917.
Realises he hasn’t written in a long time. Cannot elaborate on events because of censors. Spent a few weeks in hospital but feeling better. Glad the weather is warmer, especially after snow. Hoping for “the beginning of the end” after news from the French front. Hopes Jim is well. Promises to get him a souvenir if he makes it through.
