Associated with Northern Ireland (1969-2007), Iraq (2003-2011) and Operation HERRICK, Afghanistan (2002-2014) 2004- .

Driftway was developed for the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and Search Community to detect metal components of mines and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) buried in the ground or walls. It was designed to offer a high level of assurance to the operator and withstand the climatic changes in the environments it was used. The user is alerted upon detecting metal components via this headset.
