Plaque from an unknown and now-lost object presented to Lt Col Arthur Edward Cecil Kaye by the warrant officers, staff sergeants and sergeants of 1st Battalion Prince of Wales’s Leinster Regiment (Royal Canadians) on his retirement, 1893 (c). The plaque’s date is unknown but is possibly around 1893, when the London Gazette records Kaye being promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and put on half pay.
