Description
Sword knot associated with pattern 1831 General Officer’s sword, owned by Gen Sir John Cheape, Bengal Engineers, 1854 (c)-1875 (c). Red and gold in colour. Cheape joined the Bengal Engineers in 1809 and became a Major General in 1854.
