Description
Wolseley pattern sun helmet of Lt Eugene Pomeroy, 2/12th Frontier Force Regiment, 1940 (c) Khaki/sand fabric covered helmet with three small air vents to top, khaki over black fabric around, brown leather strap with brass slider fastenings to front of brim. Brim lined with olive green fabric, brown leather hat band and crown lined with paper. Paper has been coated with a now yellowing varnish of some type. Paper is fragile and broken in places revealing a text in possibly Urdu or Persian. Adhesive makers label for B. C. NAWN Brothers and size label attached. Webbing cross ties to adjust shape.
