Great coat, 1902-11 pattern, captains’, Royal Irish Regiment, worn by Capt Walton Mellor, 1910 (c). Khaki milled cloth. Raglan sleeves. Four gilt metal regimental button down each side front each 1 inch in diameter bearing: between crossed shamrock sprays a frosted circlet bearing the motto: Virtutis Namurcensis Premium. Within the circlet a harp, the whole surmounted by a monarchial crown.
