Silver cup, Riding School Exercise Cup, presented to Sgt Smith Howlett Rowley, D Troop, Duke of Manchester’s Light Horse Volunteers, 1867. Two-handled silver trophy cup with the inscription, ‘Duke of Manchesters Light Horse Volunteers D Troop Riding School Exercise Cup Presented by Cornet Linton on by Smith Howlett Rowley 1867’. Presented at Westwick Hall, near Histon, Cambridgeshire. Associated with Cornet (later Lt) Linton. From a collection of regimental militaria associated with Sergeant Smith H Rowley of Histon, Cambridgeshire.
