Item originally from Maxwell's Diary 1913 (1978-07-25-14) Letter from the Resident, Mysore, 5 July 1914 to Maxwell. Regarding the costs involved in catching elephants. The letter discusses the use of a Keddah in catching elephants and how once the elephants are captured they are then sold. Mysore claims that if run correctly the Kheddah will pay all expenses.
