Description
Letter, April 1916. One of circa 143 letters, 1913-1918 written by Capt Alexander F Wallace, a medical officer, attached A Coy, British South Africa Police, to his fiancée, Ethel (later his wife), World War One, East Africa (1914-1918). Wallace writes, ‘Well that is the end of another of your very nice letters. I just wish I could get hold of you for a bit and tell you how I love you Madame. I am absolutely tired of writing letters – there is a confession for you! Things will be better when I can get a hut of my own & write at night.’
