Manuscript letter from George Lee at Hartwell, Aylesbury to his brother William Lee, later Lieutenant Colonel, in Strasbourg, 14 Jan 1787. The letter tells him about the infection of smallpox from which he has just recovered. From a collection of 112 letters and envelopes addressed to Lt Col William Lee, 5th Baronet, 16th (or The Queen’s) Regiment of (Light) Dragoons, 1749-1810. Also includes photocopies of other letters from the same correspondence.
