Description
One of four manuscript letters, 28 Apr 1854. Letters are from Jim to his fiancée Nelly, mostly personal in content mentions his journey to Liverpool. Nelly is possibly a daughter of Maj William Henry Hare. From a collection of manuscripts letters with transcripts of Maj William Henry Hare, 51st (2nd Yorkshire, West Riding) Regiment of Foot (Light Infantry), 1813-1853. Associated with the Napoleonic Wars (1803-1815), and Peninsular War (1808-1814).
