Sent from Col A Park at Stirling to Major John Campbell, in command of the 5th Bn Argyllshire Volunteers at St James Square Edinburgh.
John Campbell was the brother of Lt Gen Colin Campbell, Lt Governor of Gibraltar, 1754-1814.
Letter informs him that Lord Breadlebane has applied to Lord Moira for his Battalion to go on permanent duty, he has also sent to Brig Gen Lord Elphinstone for the supply of equipment.
