April 6th 1954. Indian ink, pencil and chalk by Ralph Lillford, 1954. Full-length portrait of Private Marsh in swimming trunks, seated in a chair. From a collection of 60 drawings in various media, all related to the artist’s period of National Service in the Suez Canal Zone.
