Manuscript letter with typed transcript from George Lee at St John's College, Cambridge, to his brother William Lee, later Lieutenant Colonel, in Strasbourg, 20 May 1787. The letter asks him about the preparations for war and agrees with his thoughts on joining the French, presumably that he should. He also talks of the impeachment and trial of Mr Hartings. From a collection of 112 letters and envelopes addressed to Lt Col William Lee, 5th Baronet, 16th (or The Queen’s) Regiment of (Light) Dragoons, 1749-1810. Also includes photocopies of other letters from the same correspondence.
