John Campbell was the elder brother of Lt Gen Colin Campbell, Lt Governor of Gibraltar 1754-1814.
Letter discusses the visit of Capt Roy, 6th Royal Veteran Bn at Fort George, and asks Campbell to apply to Lt Gen Fraser to release him form duty for 5 to 6 weeks to discipline the Argyllshire Volunteers.
