Photographic postcard from the ‘Great Tokyo’ series titled: ‘The view of the Marunouchi apartment house before the Tokyo station, Tokyo’, Japan, 1930 (c). The Marunouchi building was built between 1923-1926 and was, for over 40 years, Japan’s largest office building by volume. It sits opposite the station. From a collection of 40 loose items, mainly photographs but also a few postcards and envelopes, compiled by Col. William Frederick Blaker (1877-1933), Royal Artillery, and associated with China and Japan, 1927-1929 (c).
