One of ten letters and documents written by Maj Percy Wilfred Machell, 1891. Written whilst he was commanding the 12th Sudanese Battalion. He was present at the Capture of Tokar in February 1891, although this is not described. From a collection of 500 letters written by Lt Col Percy Wilfred Machell, CMG DSO, Essex Regiment and Sudanese Army, 1882-1896. Associated with the 1st Sudan War (1884-1885).
