From an album of 91 photographs taken and/ or compiled by Maj Thomas Hope Stavert whilst serving with the 1st Bn Prince of Wales’s Own Leinster Regiment (Royal Canadians), during the Boer War, 1901.
Whilst the battalion was part of the 8th Division operating with Gen Rundle’s Column, April to June 1901 and then in and around Fort Campbell, Brindisi, Basutoland on blockhouse duty later that year and up to the end of the war in 1902.
Associated with the Boer War (1899-1902).
