6 Aug Leave of Paymaster Cornes, 79th Foot, has been extended. From the first of three bundles of official letters and despatches from Horse Guards to Gen Sir James Simpson Commander-in-Chief in the Crimea, July to August 1855. From the papers of Gen Sir William John Codrington (1804-1884), Commander in Chief during the Crimean War (1854-1856), 1855-1856.
