Description
Manuscript letter from Trp Sgt Maj (later RSM and Riding Master) George Cruse, 1st (or Royal) Dragoons, to his wife, from camp before Sevastopol, 2 Dec 1854. A sentimental letter, in which he reflects that there is no further use for the cavalry in the Crimea. Associated with the Crimean War (1854-1856).
