Copy of a letter from Lt G G P Humphreys, Indian Staff Corps, Camp Eldoma Ravine, 2 Jun 1898, to ‘the Senior Officer, Troops in Kainasha [?]’, presumably Arthur Coles, transcribed by Lt T M Layton [?] and sent on 18 June.
The letter expresses the desirability of stopping troops from coming forward from Kikuyu until the transport is in better working order, and discusses food supply at this station.
