Description
Manuscript letter from Trp Sgt Maj (later RSM and Riding Master) George Cruse, 1st (or Royal) Dragoons, to his wife, from camp near Balaklava, 11 Dec 1854. Concerning his chances of promotion, now damaged by his brother, who sent one of his letters to a newspaper. Associated with the Crimean War (1854-1856).
